Tristan Stubbs is a powerful and explosive batter widely regarded as one of South Africa’s brightest T20 prospects. While he has yet to fully deliver on the immense potential he's shown, many still believe Stubbs could be the next big star in South African cricket.
His international exposure has been limited, with just one Test and one ODI cap, and intermittent appearances in T20 Internationals since making his debut in 2022. However, it is in franchise cricket where Stubbs has truly made his mark.
An aggressive middle-order batter with a flair for finishing games, Stubbs has turned heads with his performances in leagues around the world. He has featured for top teams such as the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in the IPL, the Jaffna Kings in the LPL, and the Manchester Originals in The Hundred.
Back home, Stubbs is a key player for Sunrisers Eastern Cape, playing a vital role in their triumph during the inaugural SA20 season.
With raw power, versatility, and experience across major T20 leagues, Tristan Stubbs remains a player with vast potential—one South African fans and selectors continue to watch closely.
